The happenings of yesterday
I must be a really bad kid. I skipped convocation yesterday morning. For those that don't know, convocation is a church type service that Liberty University requires the students to attend three days per week: Mondays, Wednsdays and Fridays. I didn't really feel like going, but it was the first one I've missed so far this year, which I think is pretty good. Because of the skip, I will recieve 4 repremands, which is a lot. Oh well! So what did I do during that hour that I skipped? Sit in my room and watch television? Nope, I went out and did some shopping. Now I probably don't even need to spend anymore money (just ask my credit card!) but I figured I haven't bought any new clothes or shoes since the begining of my senior year of high school. That's over a year! My sneakers were turning brown and red and I just needed some new clothes. I spent a bunch of money, but it'll be alright because I really am making sure to save money and am definently not spending more money then I own. I've also made the decision to stop using my credit cards altogether, except if I have to pay an online bill...Last night I hung out with Alyson again, we've been hanging out a bunch and we've had a lot of fun. At about 10pm last night, Aly got covered in mud from trying to find a cell phone in a ditch (don't ask, long story!). We also heard about my brothers neighbor experience. Let me explain: my brother lives off campus in an apartment complex, and he lives on the second floor. Two nights ago, him and his roomate were sleeping when his neighbor underneath started making a lot of noise. Bobby decided to respond by jumping up and down on the floor! That just infuriated the guy below, and to shorten it, the guy ended up ripping up their trash outside and dumping it all over their cars and lawn! So my brother decided to go out and buy a machete yesterday, just in case he decided to come back!...Ahhh, I have a psychology test in about an hour (3:15pm). I'm not looking forward to it, but I did really good on the last one so I know I'll be all right, but still, a test is a test...I just got done running. I ran up Candlers Mt. Rd. in Lynchburg, which I was told was a very tough mountain run, all uphill. I figured, GOOD, I'll be able to get in a good hill workout, 3 miles straight up, really push myself. I started and it was tough for the first 800m. All uphill. But then, the road wasn't so bad anymore. It was still going uphill, but there were some downhills thrown in as well. I couldn't believe how easy of a course it was. I ended up doing my 3 miles at about 5:30 per mile, not even pushing myself that hard. Oh well, a good tempo run I guess, not too much of a hill workout! I think I'm going to start using the course as my easy run course though, because some of the hills are kind of fun!
