20 Minds are Better than One
A New Way of Thinking is Influencing the World
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Global- In a world where importance is based on appearance, quality and superlatives- such as income and popularity- an old formula is making its way back into today's society. Even more so, a new way of thinking is changing the world for the better with an effect that multiplies with each passing day. As the old adage goes,...
Yeah, I know. I LONNNGGGG time since I last graced the web pages of joeuser. What was it? 20 days? Life has been busy, school has beckoned and running has consumed my time. Since my posting on the different uses of toilet paper much has happened. Unfortunatley not much interesting. I've finished up working at the freezer (you know, stacking that ice cream!), gone back to Liberty University (to start my 4th semester) and gotten back into the scheduled life I lead running for the track team, worki...
Sparked by a conversation with my family after my father used a snowball as toilet paper, this blog was written. Out on his daily jog, my father had the need to go and in the winters of Maine leaves no longer cover the trees for the picking. Running from the road to the woods, he had to innovate something. A snowball seemed like the right idea! I've made a list of 5 objects that can be used as toilet paper. I want to hit 100. Any ideas?
1) Snowball
2) Paper towel
3) Tissue paper
4) Wrappi...

Hi! I have a brother named Bobby. He's a 23 year old college student currently rooming with a 66 year old man in Richmond, VA. He was attending Tulane before Hurricane Katrina wiped out the city of New Oreleans. Now Bobby is quite the fellow. He likes science, microscopes, electrons and protons. He also has a girlfriend, here in Lynchburg who he intends on dating for the rest of his life- even though she never goes to Physics class! Now Bobby is quite the blogger too! Oh but you say he doesn't h...
Okay so here's what happened. I was at work. At Applebee's like normal last night working my regular double shift when it happened. An older man walked out of the restaurant with his family after having diner. He seemed normal and happy and just a family man. But as I held the door for him and his family to walk out, he waited. He let the rest of his family leave before him. And then as he walked by me, he grabbed my arm firmly and said in my ear, "Be careful." I replied, "Thanks sir.", not real...
You don't see someone die everyday. It's not a very common occurance. Life passes so quickly and suddenley and is so short. As we go through our busy, filled days we don't really let it pass our thoughts and don't even want to recognize it's existence. Where do you go after death? What happens when you die? I was out running several days ago. Just a regular, normal 8 miler. 4 miles out, 4 miles back. On my way out, I ran in a neighborbood I've never run in before. Nice and quiet, not much going ...
Dear Soldier,
Why am I thankful to live in the United States? Today is Thanksgiving and I’m thinking about what I am thankful for. Near the top of the list is where I live. The freedom and security of the U.S is unmatched anywhere else in the world. We’re a privileged nation. And that’s all due to the sweat the blood and the lives given by the United States Military. You. Life wouldn’t be the same here if our military hadn’t had the courage to stand up and fight for the freedom we believe in....

A starting point when discussing Jesus is to begin with the fact that a man named Jesus did in fact exist 2000 years ago. Historical documents (bible included) show this. The article, Historical Evidence for the Resurrection, written by Christopher Lang discusses in depth and proves hist...
This is the first paragraph of a paper I wrote. I'll post the rest later. I just want your opinion on my first paragraph...
Throughout the world and between the years in history, the question has arisen in discussion of Christianity. Who was Jesus Christ? For the past 2000 years since the time of this man, many have asked this question, Christians and non Christians alike. Was Jesus the son of God? Was he a prophet? Or was he just a man? The question holds its impo...
Two more classes and Thanksgiving break begins at Liberty University. Two classes. Theology and Media Writing. Two classes until break. I've already endured two classes this morning. Physics and Math. I awoke at 7:33AM. Whoops. Class begins in 17 minutes. I sit up. I get dressed. I sprint to class. I get there and we have to turn in our THREE homework assignments. No joke. And then take a quiz. The day before break. Then, a miracle happens. The professor lets us out at 8:26AM. 14 minutes early. ...
Dear God,
Today I pray for Mom and Dad, and Bobby, Brian too,
I pray for Aly, the girl of my heart, but that you already knew,
I pray for her health, I pray for her safety, I pray for her every need,
God keep her safe, and keep her sound, can you be her lead,
I pray for strength, I pray for power, that I can help her too,
God make me strong, and make me pure, so I can help her through,
I pray for me, I pray for her, that you can show us the way,
I pray for pureness, and f...
Statement of Faith
I believe in the bible as it was written in its original text and by its original writers. I believe in the 67 books of the bible and only these 67 books. I also take the English translated versions of the bible, the NIV, English Standard Version, King James Version, ect and those other versions that don’t twist, switch or demean the words of God. I believe in the bible as the inerrant word of God and infallible in all ways. I believe that the bible was inspired by God t...
From the training log today...not the greatest of days. I've been sick for the past week and have been struggling a little with the running. I ran only 20 miles last week and raced horrible- 28:59 over 8 kilometers (5:50 mile pace for 5 miles). Not to good for the conference championships for the Big South. We won as a team though. But this is today's workout:

Woke up. Didn't feel that great this morning. The second morning in a row that I've felt this way. I have a feeling I have the fever, but I'm not sure. Oh well. I had to work a double shift yesterday at Applebee's. Probably didn't help. Practice starts in an hour and a half. We have the hardest workout of the week. Oh boy...So yeah, you can tell I'm off to a tremendous day so far! Actually it really isn't that bad. The weather here in Virginia has definently cooled down a lot, down to the 50's a...
